Next

Derby Canine Society was registered with the Kennel Club in 1922, therefore
next year will be our 85th anniversary.

There has been a lot of changes over the years and sadly many of our founder
members are no longer with us. They served for many years and finally
decided to retire and were then made “Life Members” in honour of all their
dedicated hard work.

We have now one of our committee members been with the society for 30 years
Well done to Janice. When Janice first joined the President was a DR. Bowers
He took great interest in the society always making the effort to the AGM
meetings.

Open shows were quite different then, there was no catering and the committee
members had to prepare the meals for the judges which took up all their time
Exibitors had to bring their own food and drink, can you imagine that happening
today !!!!!

Things have really changed in the 85 years, some for the good, some not so good
But there is one thing that never changes Derby Canine Society tries very hard
to keep it a happy family, enjoyable and fun time
